Do you have any constructive suggestions to avoid car owners parking their car on cycle lanes? Thanks
I always use cycle lanes to indicate where I should not be cycling, that is in the gutter.Cycle lanes are pointless
Most gutter cycle lanes should be scrapped in this country, they're a bloody hazard. It's like locking and loading the cyclist in to the line of fire.
The worst ones are where the green painted lane is adjacent to the door zone, awful idea, just awful
Swindon does not have any of them as far as I know but we do have cycle lanes at the approach to a few RABs that put cyclists in the perfect position to be left hooked. The worst ones are where the green painted lane is adjacent to the door zone, awful idea, just awful
Here's one of my local council's attempts: http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=reigate&hl=en&ll=51.23778,-0.195985&spn=0.000054,0.045276&hnear=Reigate, Surrey, United Kingdom&gl=uk&t=m&z=15&layer=c&cbll=51.23778,-0.195985&panoid=-rTQcN3X72sRfU9bkSzzOA&cbp=12,314.27,,0,12.45
Most drivers seem to use it to gauge how far they should park on the pavement.
