What can be done to free up cycle lanes that have parked cars on them?

Traffic wardens with cameras, so that the parking offender has no excuse.
Have a larger fine when the illegal parking is causing an obstruction.

Nobody seems able to stop drivers parking on double yellows, in disabled bays when they're not disabled, on pavements, blocking driveways and any other place they're not supposed to park, I doubt there'll be any headway made in keeping them out of cycle lanes.

Most gutter cycle lanes should be scrapped in this country, they're a bloody hazard. It's like locking and loading the cyclist in to the line of fire.

The worst ones are where the green painted lane is adjacent to the door zone, awful idea, just awful

These particularly get my bloody goat.

Swindon does not have any of them as far as I know but we do have cycle lanes at the approach to a few RABs that put cyclists in the perfect position to be left hooked.

See... there is absolutely no need for so called cycle lanes in that road.
Just doesn't warrant it.
Invites all sorts of trouble, close passes & dooring especially.

Do you have any constructive suggestions to avoid car owners parking their car on cycle lanes? Thanks from fixbikego mechanic

Where there is no current parking restriction my solution would be double yellows to keep the lane clear.

Where there is a parking restriction and that is being ignored, more parking wardens to fine those that are ignoring it.
