Water or nothing for short rides. For longer rides, Infinit sports drink (because that's what my boyfriend is currently buying, and because that is what will be on offer at our big race this year so it is good to have used it in training).

I once made him a drink bottle full of sweet tea - but that was for a long overnight race, where he though he might fancy something warm. I'm not sure how much of it he actually drank.

American Hard Gums are my fave...as I don't eat gelatin - similar effect though, but a bit harder to chew

Some days just very weak "Robinsons Summer Fruits" other days "High 5" , the High 5 seems to feel better but i am not sure if thats all in the head as i read an artical with a cpl of Olympic cyclists and they said "Robinsons Juices" were there prefered drinks.

I'm still trying to work this out.

I bought a starter pack of 3 different SIS powders and have been trying them. I bought them without reading the label and was put off by the fact they contain aspartame.

I then ordered a pack of High 5 4:1 but I went out for a ride this morning with fairly strong Ribena. To be honest I found it better than the SIS stuff. More palatable and easier to drink. I arrived home though and my new 1.6 kg pack of High 5 had arrived - so I'll need to give it a go!

usually just water, love the stuff but at the moment f**ck all as some barstool stole my bike inc my podium bottle!! hope the git comes to a nasty end!!!!

It varies but its usually just water in my bottle. Occasionally like today I put in homemade sports drink (I use this recipe but half the proportions). Or I've used free samples of 'Zero tabs'. In the past I've used torq, which I think is good but I'm trying to save money just now
