Three plants, two weeks, one disaster. Came out of nowhere.

Tomato blight.
Members based in England from my gardening FB have reported a lot of this.
Potato blight too.
I think it was the very wet summer.
My commiseration :sad:

Oh well, roll on next year.

We and our neighbours have suffered with it, and there are reports of it being widespread.

It's been a bad year for tomato blight. I had the same and had to destroy 8 plants that were just about to crop. You can get varieties that are labelled as blight resistant but I'm not sure how resistant they really are. I'm beginning to doubt whether growing toms outdoors in the UK is really viable. Still, better luck next year!

my outside tomatoe are all still growing ok at the mo with no signs of blight....but i am going to build a small greenhouse around them on the weekend to help them ripen and hopefully keep the blight away
