I've never been in any kind of bike race.

I've been in several, just not as a competitor.

Been shopping in Tescos in their nighties and pyjamas.

There was a bit on Woman's Hour about sleep walking the other day. The woman they had on the show has been sleepwalking since childhood and had some amusing tales of wandering naked around streets & hotels all over the world. She once dropped a glass then shredded her feet walking all over it. She also rips toilets seats off and smashes them up with her bare hands.

I made it to 39 1/2 years in the same job technically without changing employer, but we kept being re-branded or taken under a different organisation

I found the only way to get a decent pay rise is to move on.

Pretty much my experience, but I do know one or two that has made it work for them.

One guy in particular utilised the companies own pay structure and reward scheme that meant he was so overpaid for his grade, that when they reorganised he was red ringed for years to try and let everyone catch up.

It never worked though as by the time they got anywhere close, they decided to reorganise again and pay everyone the same regardless of experience.

He retired at that point.
