Bimble

Bimbling along ...
For me it was watching the neighbours cat go into "guard dog" mode when a stranger wandered down the cul-de-sac ... head forward, ears back, tail raised, shoulders arched, all bushy and mean looking.

Had me in stitches, especially as the "perp" was completely unfazed by the cat's laser-like menacing stare.

What's made you smile or chuckle this week?

My youngest lad, hiding around the corner while drving his remote control car repeatedly into his Sister's bedroom door. Then zooming away to avoid her fits of rage.
Oh I can so relate to that! I used to work for a company where your appraisal got you an ultimate score of 1-5. 1 was very poor, 5 was a flyer. At the end of the appraisal your score was then 'loaded' with a flexibilty score. This was based on your willingness or ability to relocate to carry out your job.

3 years on the trot I scored 4.8, which was then loaded with the flexibility score. I did not want to move from Cheddar to High Wycombe or Antwerp, so my score plummeted to 3.0. Utter f'cking waste of 3 hours of my life for 3 consecutive years as we all knew what was going to happen at the end of the process!
Exactly that..
Even tho this is my work to retirement job ..ahh well a lot seems to have gone wrong in the work place while I spent 30 odd years being self employed.

Having to sit through my first ever work appraisal..ffs 2 hours of my life wasted ...pointless Q&As about my job and what I want for the future..well as thers only one of me I won't bother looking for promotion ..lol

We have them but our managers don't pay any attention to them so I never fill in the final paper that should be signed by two managers. I do a bear minimum for the meeting, then have the appraisal and don't bother with the rest. There is no point. I've not been pulled up about it in the last 6 years.
