between 'Quick Cooking Porridge Oats' and 'Instant Porridge Oats'? !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Quick-cooking rolled oats (quick oats) are cut into small pieces before being steamed and rolled. Instant oatmeal is pre-cooked and dried, usually with sweetener and flavouring added.

Thanks for that I now know why instant has become so popular in many countries. Here in China (or at least the area I am currently living) Instant Porridge is flooding the shops at the expense of the quick cooking variety. I prefer the quick cooking because I find the instant too sweet.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Or, you could do what I do and get up 15 mins earlier
That means having to go to bed an hour earlier:sad:.

Yes you're correct about the texture but for simplicity for me in the mornings, the quick cook allows me to get out the door on time.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You can take oats of the ordinary kind, cook them in the microwave in about 2/3 minutes.
Or just add hot milk, let them soak 10 minutes or so, they are ready to eat.
I eat porridge with fruit, nuts and seeds for lunch: take it to work, add cold milk like for any cereal :hungry:
I'm weird, I know
