Seagulls often fly inland. I remember seeing them in Coventry as a child!

(By the way longers - nice to see you back! I was out on my bike this afternoon and it suddenly struck me that you don't seem to come on CycleChat so often these days. I know you had your laptop nicked and had job problems but I was just wondering what you were up to. Do you fancy joining us on Sun May 1st for a ride from Hebden Bridge to Waddington and/or 2 weeks later for our hilly Forest of Bowland ride from Whalley? It would be good to see you again.)

Yep, that was one of her arguments but this thread made me think they might be found there. Arch points out on the last page that calling them seagulls is wrong but I did it anyway!

Arch has only just got round to reading this thread, and was all set to say it again! ;)

Harrogate's purpose is to accept all those who are too old to live in Worthing!

Actually I heard it was Southport. One thing both towns have in common is that they don't bury the dead, they just drive round all day causing mayhem.

Seriously though, I've visited Harrogate many times, it's a very nice place even if Betty's is a tad on the pricey side.

We went in an Indian restaurant a few years ago, not far from the Exhibition hall. It was a bit studenty, with a large hatch so you could see the cooking going on in the kitchen. Very interesting. Also, excellent food too! Probably the best Indian meal I had for a long while.
