I don't use Twitter or Facebook.

Both have had security issues, which I can't afford to risk. Both have had privacy issues which I can do without.

Having seen them being used by others I don't think I've missed anything.

I'm reasonably sure that in 5 years time both will be fading fast, and in 10 years time they'll be gone and largely forgotten.

I waste enough time on 4 forums as it is! (Not always strangers on 2 of them)

I don't use Twitter, but i sometimes read some of the F1 related tweets and pics.

I don't use Facebook in the convential sense either, I don't like its privacy/security but more importantly telling people your latest news is what you do down the pub not on a website  I have an account I use for keeping in touch with online communities and viewing FB only things though, its hard not to.

Well a direct result of Twitter, in 2007, I got to cycle with drug king Lance. It was still one of my highlights despite the recent revelations.

I guess it's what you make of it. I don't use it much myself, but I do use facebook a lot. I suppose we all get something different out of cyclechat too.

I signed up to Twitter last week to see how it goes. The place I work at uses it as a way to promote events and stuff, and I'm following them, and also a few friends, BBC News and Stephen Fry. I've already found out something interesting I wouldn't have known otherwise, and although I'm not a prolific Twitterer, it's just a bit of fun.

I never really got into Twitter but I did give it a go.

It is true that you can pick up local news/gossip really quickly. I saw the aftermath of an incident involving a car and a teenager in Hebden Bridge town centre. By the time I got home, there were already several people tweeting about what they had witnessed.

I don't Twat or FaceRag. Better things to do in life.

Can't see the point when almost all of it is people I don't know Twatting about stuff I don't care to know about.

I'm one of the strange breed of people who turns their mobile off when I get home.

I'm one of the strange breed of people who doesn't feel the need to tell the world about the intimate workings of my life in minute detail.

I'm one of the strange breed of people who does not give a crap about what the latest over-hyped popsicle / silicon enhanced TOWIE star / dopey footballer thinks about anything.

I am obviously just plain strange and am not in sync' with the modern world at all.

What's a popsicle? When ah wuz a lad it was an impenetrable plastic wrapper with ice, E numbers and sugar masquerading as a lolly without a stick. Birthday treat territory in other words.

One of the things we're doing at work on a semi regular basis is saying what our best street of the day is, in terms of quantity or cleanliness of the recycling, or mentioning especially nice or funny things that happen. I don't know how many of our clients follow us and see this, but it's nice for us to have a way to acknowledge them.
