So, if we're being brutally honest, not much like a lettuce then?

No-one would have believed that in the first years of the 21st century that human affairs were being watched from the timeless worlds of space...

And then they landed in the sea and got washed up on the sand. And found that the inhabitants of their target planet were rather larger and a bit less squishy than they'd thought.
Oh, and were quite capable of wiping themselves out without the help of minds far superior to their own, thank you very much.

Thousands of these have been washed up the beaches of Goa this last month.

They are about 18" in diameter.
