What is your favourite song about where you live?

Nearest I can think of is Billericay Dickie or Dagenham Dave and they're both 10-20 miles away.

I'm not aware Dr. Feelgood ever mentioned Canvey Island in a song but "Down at the Doctors" has a double meaning - it's quite common for those words to have been used for what was the only Doctors surgery at Grafton Road on Canvey. And their "Down by the Jetty" LP/CD was an apt description of many waterside locations on Canvey, especially relevant and reminiscent for people who spent their childhood & youth on or under one. Usually with a pack of 10 Players cigarettes.

Watford gap is near Watford- a village in Northamptonshire. The Watford I live in is 50 miles south.

Which has given me an idea for a 100+ mile ride I might or might not do one day.

And I still can't think of a song about it. I know a songwriter- maybe he could give it a go.
