Johnnie Walker's sounds of the 70's on a Sunday afternoon.
A large pay cheque (I remember those days, a loooong time ago!).
Beer, whisky, and lamb madras.
A bike ride on a dry, wind free day (rarer than a large pay cheque).
A little slap and tickle .

Getting out on the bike. Works pretty much every time.

Substitutes include beer and a bhuna (extra chillies, Asian style), or taking the dog for a long walk in the dales or on the beach but sadly he's now getting a bit too old and knackered for that anymore...

A couple of hours on the bike on some nice car free country lanes on a sunny wind free day would do it for me. But as thats as likely to happen as a lottery win in this year of endless wind i will have to settle for a few hours on the allotment, a good run, a nice meal with a few beers and some good company or a sneaky ride with the lads when i should be working.

The suns heat on your back in the spring...that first warming always lifts me.
My grandkids. Love em to bits.
Someone said those big paycheques...I remember them with a smile. Salaried now so moneys never an issue, but you dont get that buzz from a big one.

Now we all know the answer is sex, or the promise of it, failing that there's chocolate, beer, family (the ones I like, which lately is just the ones I live with) getting out on the bike, not being at work, decent music, sitcoms (or as I call them, funnies), stand up comedy, avoiding annoying people, OK so there's quite a list, generally I'm too complacent (in a good way) to care about the things that get me down, life's too short to be unhappy
