What makes a real man?

Is it him finally getting a job? learning from his mistakes and making it right? taking care of his kids and family the way a man is obligated to? what really makes a man? I grew up fatherless, so never got the man to man talk.

I guess you first have to define your parameters for 'a real man' before you can decide on what makes a man so.

I have, in the past, said that you can judge a man by the way he treats his ex. That only applies to one aspect of 'relationshipability'.
Over the weekend it was suggested that what makes a man is how willing and able he is to try and consider the needs and issues of others in his interactions.

However, I have also heard men being defined as 'real' by his earning potential, or his bedroom/boardroom prowess, or the 'six packness' of his torso.

I guess it depends on what you think is important in the man in your life.

However, it should be borne in mind that all men are real, whether you like them or not.

Weird isnt it ! My step-son was the same he seemed to be under the impression half a can of deoderant would be a good substitute for soap and hot water he even got to the extent of spraying lynx on his hair instead of using shampoo. Filthy little bugger.

Step-daughter on the other hand has the idea that a quick bath is 1 hour minimum carries more perfume make-up hair brushes etc than a transit van could. Kids
