I have a pair of the Endura Road overshoes and they are not as warm as others I have - Pro Classic S E for example, but they are more water proof. I think that the more 'rubbery' material doesn't insulate so well. Sandwich bags over the socks and maybe thicker overshoes?

She's cool now i bought her a Dyson Animal, thinking about it im the loser here, my overshoes cost £23.99 and the the Dyson cost £300.

Update.
I'm am very, very impressed with my boots (the Celsius Artic version).
I've ridden with them several times when the temperature has been below or around freezing and my feet have been OK. They would have been better if I'd worn thicker socks.
Today I did the Mere 200 Audax. Since I knew that I'd be out for over 12 hours, I wore silk liner socks, knee length ski socks and Endure Deluge overshoes on top of the Northwaves.
My feet stayed toasty and dry except for the left which got wet when I cycled through one of the many floods and the water turned out to be hub deep. Some of it went over the top and into the boot. Even so, my foot stayed warm enough.
Rider wearing conventional shoes and overshoes weren't so lucky. Many of them were complaining of cold feet.

My GF was so impressed by my boots that she bought a pair yesterday.
CRC are the cheapest that I've been able to find but it's worth noting that Evans price match (at least they did yesterday) and you can try them on.

I've a feeling that they'll turn out to be some of the best cycling kit that I'll ever buy.

They're a bit tight in the toeclips but my feet are never too cold.

I thought I had the throbbing cold feet problem sorted with gaffa tape over the vents on my MTB shoes, two pairs of half decent quality socks and Gore overshoes, but no.

Loosening my shoelaces did help a bit, but yesterday I was in a lot of discomfort as my feet were defrosting so I took a lead from a couple of the folk I was riding with and have bought some waterproof socks made by sealskin.

I'm going to save my pennies and get some proper winter boots though, I'm getting fed up with all this faff!

Yep, also suffered from numb frozen toes but got some cheapo overshoes. Not great but i can handle just "cold" toes.

I can handle loosing feeling in my feet entirely, it's the defrosting that hurts like hell!
