I'm quite keen on building stuff from recycled materials, often functional but sometimes just a bit sculptural.
This year I've taken the plunge and turned much of the garden into a mini allotment, and hope to be self sufficient (for vegetables at least) this time next year.
I don't tend to have much time for anything else, any "spare" time is taken up by the kids hobbies!

Hillwalking, munro's etc - the more exposed and scrambly the better. My first love before I discovered cycling.

Sorry about this guys - morris dancing - (Ssh)

I really like morris dancing (watching, not dancing) - one of those quirky English traditions that's still going.
Folk songs, dancing, bashing sticks and swords, waving hankies and bells, drinking lots of beer - what's not to like!

Football, golf (when I have the time) walking/hiking, overseas travel (when funds permit), playing the violin and music in general and most importantly spending time with my kids. Would love to do more but simply can't fit it in.

Walking (hill & challenge) the garden (when it does not get in the way of cycling & walking) reading and being a general pain in the arse to those who think they are in charge (now it is mainly the chair person's of the groups I belong too, it used to be the boses at work)

Watercolour painting.... and walking [excuse for a picnic!].
...and drawing but that's what I do anyway so suppose it doesn't count.

Canoeing - we have a 5.5m open canoe. Had great fun in the Lake District a couple of weeks back, but generally stick to rivers and going downstream only - you don't even have to paddle

And knitting, mainly for myself as no one else appreaciates just how much time and effort goes into the stuff

Hillwalking and photography. I also love restoring things, whether it's bikes, cars, tractors, cameras, lawnmowers, clocks or whatever. If someone says something is only fit for the skip, I will take great pleasure in trying to get it in working condition again.

Can you come and spend 6 months in my house, please? The whole thing is not in working order.
