What sander for home use?

Wipe the doorframes etc to make sure no greasy fingerprints and so on then spray. No sanding needed. Give it 24hrs to dry first then paint.
It stinks a bit but, that'll soon disappear and you'll not need to be sucking up and dusting sawdust for days on end.

I've not used that for such applications, only for painting an outdoor water butt. You can buy it an a lot of retail DIY places as well (I got it from B&Q).
