I do think we'd be better off, on balance, without The Donald.
Yes, I've been thinking of him to so ... my nomination is

The Apprentice (USA).

I believe that what gave him the star power and the patina of success that lead to him being in power.

Edit: and as a bonus, no Apprentice (UK) either.

I agree, the only way to fully appreciate opera is to see it live.
Each to their own but not entirely sure i agree. As an out of towner and a student, i well remember thinking it important that i appreciate opera. And student tickets were enticing. So off i trotted to the royal opera to see something or other. Which left me pretty cold. Possibly later went to the ENO to see something, come half time i felt like a breath of fresh air so i went for a walk round st james' park. And enjoyed it so much i couldn"t be bothered to go back. Met my friends outside, i don't recall them being ecstatic. A university friend fell asleep at the ENO and would have remained happily in that state if an opera fan hadn't woken him up to stop his snoring.

Super-hero movies. CGI is no substitute for a story.
Some are better than others. I do notice that film makers now realise that it’s the adults who take the kids to the Cinema so have to build in a good storyline and even stuff that goes over kids heads to keep everyone entertained.

Have you looked up her skirt? Probably not, but I'd suggest many blokes who walk past would like to have a quick peep to check the quality of the casting.

I haven't but thinking about the graphic vulgarity of the frieze around the plinth I've no doubt the sculptor left nothing hidden.

Awful, awful thing. So bad they had to put a cage around it to stop offended locals destroying it

They finally removed it and took it to Ardrossan.

Which would be my second nomination actually.
Anybody interested in weird and hideous statues should head to the Balkans, where after the conflicts of the 1990s they were so desperate for heroes that they started throwing up statues of people like Bruce Lee, Bob Marley and Rocky Balboa, as well as Bush and Clinton. This Rocky one is in a town in Serbia.

It's a bit more complicated than that...
So I'm going to remove the electric guitar.
Damn. You got in before me, but for exactly the opposite reason. The electric guitar is the cause of so much unmitigatedly dire and inexplicably popular rubbish masquerading as music that the world would have been better off without it.
