oh, you've already bought it. You made the best choiceYou get used to whatever size is in there. Biggest mistake I made was installing an older 38" for upstairs, only sitting 6 foot away. Standard definition looks grainy. HD is fine, but providing you have a good source and a quality TV I'd go with whatever is the best bang for buck in terms of spec out of the 50 or 55 inch.

Having experienced HDTV and mega-screen TV in hotel rooms I can't say that I'm gagging to have either at home.
