TBH I couldnt afford one of those.
I was tempted by the new Tishoba and the new Hatichi has good reviews but I will stick with the Soni.

Me too. It's not flat, either - it's got one of those old cathode ray tubes.

Having experienced HDTV and mega-screen TV in hotel rooms I can't say that I'm gagging to have either at home.

You get used to whatever size is in there. Biggest mistake I made was installing an older 38" for upstairs, only sitting 6 foot away. Standard definition looks grainy. HD is fine, but providing you have a good source and a quality TV I'd go with whatever is the best bang for buck in terms of spec out of the 50 or 55 inch.

Ive just upgraded my circa '84 14" CRT - the screen was going white in places - to a massive flat 22"

Outcome.
They gave me a time slot of between 11.00 & 13.00 today.
So......having inbibed a few last night I was lying in bed at 08.00.........yes 08.00.....when the doorbell goes. (I suppose 0800 is sort of nearly maybe close to 1100)
Anyway its all set up and working.
All I need now is a 5 year old to teach me all the smart TV thingies
