What stuff would you like to see invented, that may not serve much of a purpose, but would be cool

I would like to see a wireless pedal binding system, which could be released via a glove / bar / wrist mounted 'chicken switch'. If you were heading for a SMIDSY bonneting, you could release both cleats from the pedal and make the outcome less expensive (possibly). I'm surprised it hasn't been done yet TBH. I'd like to see a rim designed, which is essentially a large diameter 2 piece bearing. The inner 'ring' bit rotates, the outer bit where the tube is, stays still. Then you could attatch a mousse canister, and re inflate a puncture, without stopping. It would weigh a bit, but for a touring / leisure riding bike, I reckon it would be a boon.

I would like to see an emergency 'release everything' button on the back of a child seat out of the child's reach, so that if the bike fell into a canal or similar peril, you could extract the child from safety harness and foot straps at speed.

I've suggested this before - mini bike cleaning robots. About the size of a large cockroach - in fact they may actually be genetically engineered robo roaches - at night they will crawl over your bike, eating the grit off your chain, spitting lube onto it, pulling flints out of the tyres, licking the frame clean. In the morning - shiny clean bike.
