There is nothing Yorkshire folk enjoy more than pointing out to foreigners how they call their bread something different to the next town down the road. I don't care, I've lived here for 20 years, I know about the bread thing, I just want my lunch.

Lancastrians love this hilarious and engrossing pastime too. On another forum they've managed to eke out a "muffin vs barm" thread for literally years. And I'd have thought that "differing name for a similar bakery product" was something that you could only get 5 minutes of material out of, tops.

Littley Green is near Dunmow, not far from my place at Stansted. Never been though.
