:hungry:
Oven chips, gas mark 8 for 20 mins
Quiche, gas mark 6 for 20 mins

what do i do?
Gas mark 8, chips for 20mins and quiche for 10mins?
Gas mark 7, chips for 25mins and quiche for 15mins?
Gas mark 6, chips for 30mins and quiche for 20mins?

or... cook the the chips as per the instructions and eat them, then have the quiche, also cooked as per the instructions, 20 minutes later for pudding?

It's not easy being a bachelor

Mrs MontyVeda was dumped with the telly a decade ago...

Why did you have to complicate things by mentioning the shelves?

I'm gonna have to use a calculator!

god i miss Ready Steady Cook!

Oven chips Mark 8 for 20 mins top shelf - after 5 mins, put the quiche in, middle shelf. Watch until everything looks cooked (this general instruction applies to anything you want to cook).
(Unless it's a fan-assisted oven, in which case the shelf you choose allegedly makes no difference.)

Quiche is much better served at room temperature, don't heat it, it ruins the flavour.

Just bung the whole lot in at Mark 6 and watch until cooked. It's quiche and chips for heaven's sake not food for Master Chef.

I decided the quiche and chips was too complicated, so had a cup-a-soup instead... now the croutons seem to have welded themselves to the element... and they are the best bit of a cup-a-soup

I've tried Googling "remove croutons from kettle element" but no joy.. any ideas? Quick, I'm gasping for a cuppa!
