What to do with this pigeon?

We had one take up residence on my horses old yard once. He was there for about a month and then one day disappeared. He was pretty clever and would sit on the roof so I like to think he found his way back home rather than the cat ate him!

He would sit in my horses stable and every day I would open the door at which point he would fly at my face!! Couldn't get close enough to read the tag but we tried!

In the end we started feeding him and were quite sad when he left because he would waddle about the place following us, pretty cute really.

I'll try to get a picture tomorrow when it's light, it is a handsome bird, I'm gonna try to interact

We also had a stray 20lb turkey show up one morning who we put in with the chickens, they were not impressed! He eventually went to live with a family in Dorset, that's what I was told anyway

I am not planning to do a Saint Francis: only want to read the one pigeon's tag if he lets me.

After reading your post I went back to the website I'd found.
They stated on their web form that the bird must be restrained before contacting them, but I said to myself, well, a phone call won't hurt.
They are in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada
Guess I need to think of a suitable bird name now

Nay, he's better behaved than the local ones, never attacking the feeder, only eating from the ground.
