As long as I breathe, I attack.
depends what you call winter .
When it gets sub sub zero ..
buff
long sleeve base
long sleeve jersey
windproof if its really nippy or a gilet
shorts
running tights or ron hill bikesters
thermal socks
overshoes
altura /aldi winter gloves

I find the old adage of layering good. Today leisure cycling was winter bib longs (with wintex), a long-sleeve base layer (with wintex), a winter softshell, a gilet first thing, a cycling cap, a helmet (its good for keeping your head warm ). On colder days I wear overshoes, a buff, thicker socks, glove liners and waterproof over jacket. For the commute, I cycle in normal clothes and its short so sometimes a thin fleece has went under the jacket or cyclibg long-johns under the trousers and/or overtrousers.

For most of this summer, I have been wearing a Brass Divers Helmet with tinted glass windows and a NASA approved Pressure-Suit. God Knows what I'm going to wear this WINTER:unsure: ?

It's about my feet, as I have poor circulation, so as long as I have wooly socks and neoprene overshoes, I am usually ok.

...possible some toe covers as well.

Fast and careful!
on a morning ride today the temp was about 4 degrees, and i past on a hill a group of more aged riders, one lady was stopped at the top of the road awaiting her group,as i drew up closer i spotted she was wearing a pair of what looked like a pair of boots made of a animals fur,i bet she never got cold, and they were a good 8 miles from any where,so they were putting in a few miles,so the question is ,is this the way forward
