Map my ride on my iPhone. Gives me all I need , anymore and I would either become paranoid or a complete cycle bore.

I use Sports Tracker on my Nokia N8 (my old main phone - currently in use as my bike computer) and my Galaxy S3 (my current main phone - when I've forgotten to charge the Nokia). I'm going to check out Endomondo, though.

I use Endomondo Pro and am more than happy with it. I've just downloaded Runtastic but not tried it out yet. Obviously, both of these were highly legally downloaded and not in any way stolen, er, borrowed ;)

I use a Garmin Edge 800 with heart rate and cadence. I also have an Edge 705 but only use that for commuting now and am looking to sell.
I upload to:
  • Strava as i like to compete when I ride but have no interest in racing.
  • Garmin Connect so I can track all the miles I have ridden since getting back into cycling a few years ago.
  • I now also upload to Training Peaks so I can look at what heart rate zones I actually rode in to see if I hit my target for the ride
I hate the fact that people are allowed to upload rides to Strava using a phone as the GPS on these devices is rubbish compared to a dedicated device and its almost like cheating in my opinion.

Not everyone can afford a dedicated unit when they start out, and it gives some incentive, if that is what is wanted, besides the only times that matter are your own, I had some really wayward readings on the N95 but I just flagged the ride, it still gives your totals, but I dont use strava for data, so it doesn't really matter.
I use a 500 with H.R. SP/cad sensors.
