let me know what you think of the ending. I wasn't wholly dissapointed, but it seemed a bit rushed and unbelievable compared to the rest of the series.

Yes - now I've finished - the last few minutes were a let down. Really enjoyed it up til that point - but I think they've left it fairly open.
Definitely going to have a series 2 I think.

Got to the end of Ripley.

Was a little slow at times but came to quite a satisfying conclusion.

Difficult not to compare it to the film, particularly in terms of the casting. Andrew Scott was very good but the supporting cast felt rather inferior to the likes of Jude Law and the wonderful Philip Seymour Hoffman.

I believe this adaptation is more faithful to the book though, particularly in the second half.

Gen V has started Series 2.

Its not as good as the main The Boys series, Series 1 was pretty good but now that the virus is out (and with Butcher) there needs to be a new reason for the school. I'll see what happens in next couple episodes but might skip it if it doesn't come up with something strong (it's completely separate to the comics now as well).

I gave up during series 1. I watched till the end but that was just to see how it would end. No appetite for series 2.

New series of All Creatures Great and Small starts tonight for those that enjoy it.

Alien:Earth

Has concluded, and some interesting choices in the last 2 episodes. Some good moments but overall I think they missed the landing a bit, not bad as such but, well you watch it when you do :okay:

One good thing, we do get to see Adrian Edmondson throw down, unfortunately he fails to use a frying pan, cricket bat or kick anyone in the balls lol.

Overall I'm really pleased with the series, it's got some interesting themes, some great creatures and generally a lot better than an Alien TV series might have been. A solid 8/10 overall from me.

Loved the show. As you say- would have been great for a Rik Mayall cameo with a giant frying pan. Looking forward to series 2 and I think there might be a film or two I have missed in the series.

Series 2 hasn't been greenlit yet, this might be all we get, but that'll be ok as it has been great.

Also I think watching a sheep tell someone the the value of Pii by pooing on the floor, is something I never knew I needed to see until I did. 💩

I'm not sure the sheep got that right anyway. Stupid sheep.

Black Rabbit (Netflix). 8 x 45 min episides starring Jude Law and Jason Bateman. Both play their characters very well. I didn't think I'd like it, as it looked a bit gangster/cartel for me, but we really enjoyed it. There wasn't a duff actor anywhere, the plot was engaging and ridiculous enough to be an entertaining watch rather than a true-to-life story. 9/10

I enjoyed it but the 2 gangsters seemed like comic gangsters to me.
