I'm thinking of watching Adolescence but I'm aware of the wealth of praise it's received. No, I'm not concerned by any potential disappointment but.. of something else that I find difficult to pin down.

So @Adam4868 have you watched the final Severance episode yet? Did it work for you?
It was wild....I gave it a standing ovation.

Absolute nonsense but I'm liking the aesthetic and some of the sequences are superbly shot.

Absolute nonsense has its place. I've watched some objectively dross stuff that has kept me hooked, sometimes for unknown reasons. Sometimes there's a vibe, an aesthetic as you say, that appeals.

One such for me recently was Grostesquerie. It really didn't hang together as good tele yet I found its collapse of society shtick quite captivating.

The black & white shorthaired cat acting in the series belongs to a friend of mine.

His real name is Spud, and I've judged him at cat shows.

I haven't noticed the cat yet - but it wouldn't surprise me if it ends up running the mob. My cat is a total villain too.

They showed two back to back when I watched it.
The one I watched was aired from the Old grey whistle test and he was a lot younger in it compared to the second gig they showed

Just watched the first episode of We Own This City on iplayer. Really enjoying it so far. I do worry for Sean Bean's longevity in this as always though.
Started watching this but thought it got cheesy by episode 4...should I bother finishing it ?

My word, the dialogue in Adolescence episode 2 is clunky. I'm really not trying to trivialise the subject, and I get and respect the programme makers honest and well placed intentions, but reviewed simply as entertainment, it does kinda jar. Like some teenage health advice video, you were half expecting Nancy Reagan to pop up and say 'drugs, just say no'.
