Grand Designs... one of those builds I would neither want to live in or opposite too xx(
Watching an episode now, on 4seven, with the polystyrene hulled houseboat, near Worthing

that's the one. I would argue that the ugly lighthouse that lost the owner all his money and his marriage was worse... at least they still own their ostentatious turd.
Do you mean the large (almost) British Moderne build in Cornwall (or Devon)?

I liked that, but it was too large

The Grand Design (no, me neither, BTW) is not 'near Worthing'. It's in Shoreham by Sea, seven miles from Worthing and a town in its own right. That annoyed me!

While I'm here, a recommendation, a should watch more than anything else, given the subject matter. Shoah, the epic documentary on the Holocaust (566 minutes in total) is on iPlayer. It was on BBC4 in January, missed it…downloading now.

Good to see him back doing what he does best.Going to remote places and immersing himself in their cultures as well as taking some mind altering substances !

I didn't realise that was a new series, and so didn't watch it as I was writing up my reports from a cat show I judged at on Saturday. Will have to watch on i-player.

I've only watched 2/3 of an episode yet so too early to judge. Got three more episodes of Billions to dispose of before attacking another series with gusto.

Some 30-40 years ago on an episode of Blue Peter they said "Leven's Hall near Preston"... it still irks me
