Another great series, and I thought the focus on mental health was particularly important.
Have they fixed him yet?

I simply don't watch enough TV to make subscription services worthwhile. The TV licence does me and the parental, i-player, ITVx and the like, plus various live / streaming radio services. For stuff I do want, box sets and downloads suit me fine.

Plus I avoid subscription sports, as I'd never get anything done otherwise. At least with radio commentaries for the stuff I do follow, I can multi-task.

Then throw in the fact that writing, archiving and art require concentration on what one is doing.

That's exactly why I don't have a TV in my little work from home studio, would be disastrous for productivity.

Never watched that

B5 was *the* original story arc series, without which we wouldn't have so much amazing stuff to watch now. It does take a few episodes to get going, and yes, it's not without its problems (largely down to Warner Brothers' shenanigans with respect to funding and the will they, won't they of the final season), but I'd highly recommend.

It touches a lot more grey areas in terms of ethics and motivations than Star Trek, it's more gritty (DS9 kind of started copying B5 with its Dominion War story arc) and turns convention on its head.

And you've got fabulous actors like Andreas Katsulas, Mira Furlan, Peter Jurasik, Claudia Cristian etc...

Even though it isn't remarkable in it's production, I'm really enjoying Outrageous on U. I'm staggered that the source material about the Mitford family hasn't previously been used as the basis for a series.

Agree : B5 is one of the finest sci fi series ever and maybe the first with a overarching story ark rather than "planet of the week". When we watched we'd regularly be astonished at the next great reveal, and also the way characters and alliances shifted. An outstanding bit of television

One warning is that some of the CGI and indeed haircuts in the early episodes have dated badly, but never mind that, watch it foe the epic story and character development

And an outstanding bit of writing - not just from JMS, but also from the other writers who penned episodes for the show. It's left me with a real cornucopia of quotes to use for just about every occasion.

I mean D C Fontana brought us Neroon (who'd I'd loved to have seen far much more of), and Peter David penned the very unforgettable trio of Londo's wives. Both Neroon and Timov could've done with more screen time, if only because John Vickery and Jane Carr brought them to life so wonderfully.

You know, once you get stuck into the story, you don't really notice the shonky sets or the CGI (which was cutting edge at the time - Trek were still using models!)
