Xmas University Challenge with the alumni from past series. A bit more relaxed than usual under grad shows.
Ex pro, ex GCN presenter and all round brilliant cyclist Emma Pooley was on the other night.

Yes I like the alumni series, feel I can hold my own with the answers and nice to hear what folks go on to do. The student ones are less accessible to me now, although I was once a reserve for my uni.

Amandaland...Christmas special which was good/funny as always.
Other than that not much.

T'was good and I saw that, I'm probably going to go back and watch the series as hadn't heard of it before.

City of Shadows on Netflix - 4 episodes in of the 6 and it's brilliant.

The main reason I was drawn to it is that is set in the beautiful city of Barcelona, and in that respect alone it does not disappoint.
However the actors and storyline (so far) have been captivating.

The lead male actor does seem to be a Spanish Michael Sheen, but that aside, I highly recommend it.

Last episode of this season of Mayor of Kingstown.

Waht a cliffhanger! And who'd have thought the straight laced police chief would turn a blind eye like that?

Can't wait for the next season, which is touted to be the final. If you like murdery violence, a town where even the good guys are crooked, and enough plot twists to make a rollercoaster look boring then this is for you.

Whenever I hear of anyone talking about actually being in one of the teams I can’t help but smile in memory of Benedict Cumberbatch in Starter for Ten ^_^
For me, I was never even university material, the whole thing is inaccessible to me

The level of competition was not that high where I went! I also think of Ade Edmondson Young Ones/ University of Manchester Alumni.
