Kind of like Enola Holmes meets Bridgerton on a gap year in Australia with control being taken by the brain as much as the groin.

Star City. A spin-off from For All Mankind, about the Russian side of things. It's actually a lot better, due to not being all American and patriotic. It paints the Russians in-charge as monsters. It's worth a look though, not totally serious just like For All Manikind.

Its mad, Vigil & Trigger Point on clashing (not that that matters with the Apps) and Ludwig all back for new series at the same time, all whilst La Vuelta highlights have to be watched!!!

Did a couple of Trigger Points last night, addictive viewing despite its many "nah they wouldn't have done that" flaws

The closing scene of episode 4 is filmed just up the road from us, under the M1 bridge near Potters Crouch. Whilst the scruffy caravan looks ideal for the set, it's a permanent fixture, not a prop!!!

Stuck in a hotel near Hull tonight so I had a quick look at iplayer and decided on Our Friends in the North.

I've never seen it before so it's funny seeing all the famous faces looking so young. 😂

I can thoroughly recommend Dickensian on iPlayer. Full of marvellous actors and a cleverly intertwined story featuring the characters from various Dickens novels.

Good drama with lots of humour too.

And if you're a Dickens purist, don't worry. The events depicted present all of the characters, such as Jacob Marley, Fagin, and Miss Havisham prior to their respective books. Nothing is changed, it's only that you're seeing these characters before the lives they have in their novels. You find out how it is they come to be the characters you already know.

Such a shame they cancelled it after just one series.

In a similar vein, we started watching State of Play from 2003 this evening. Talk about tight story telling: the first episode would have been an entire season on Netflix. All thriller, no filler.

I'll wait until it's all available on iplayer and binge it. I prefer watching that way these days rather than waiting a week for the next episode.
