I've only ever got into 4 games, in the history of me and gaming:
1) Wacky Wheels
2) Doom
3) Civilization
4) Angry Birds

all on PC, except the birds, on my phone

Brandane

The Costa Clyde rain magnet.
Pong. Then Space Invaders when I went all techie.

PC all the way, mouse and keyboard are so much more accurate for fps.

PC here too, but coming from Xbox just couldn't get the hang of flying with mouse so bought a controller.

I think I suffer in BF3 as I'm sure mouse/kbd makes jets more manoeuvrable (well that's my excuse for getting shot down so often in dogfights plus Its an age thing as well )

see my problem is, I'm the type of gamer who's terrible at playing them. Driver and Driver 2 are the only ones I've completed... and I had to use a cheat for that dastardly final mission on Driver.
Been stuck on the same mission in Worms Armageddon for 10 years  ... so just play the Death Match until i lose.
I couldn't even unlock San Fierro/Flint County in GTA: San Andreas so had to buy a memory card off Ebay just so i could explore further than Los Santos.
Tried medal of honour and couldn't even got off the beach at the beginning... so gave up after a week.
This is probably the real reason I haven't bothered keeping up with modern games... they're just too hard. :B)

Oh... I did complete Lego Star Wars II... but that is for three years olds :shy:

A lot of it's about immersion. A decent sound card gives you the crisp sound to hear footsteps, jumping, reloads, weapon swaps, grenade cooking and so on. A quality pair of headphones further increases this by blocking out a lot of the sound around you.

I have my soundcard split off to a 5.1 surround system and a pair of headphones, can't play to save my life using the former (kicks ass for playing music though) but the latter, don't stick your head up :boxing:
