Scrabble, Monopoly, Backgammon etc.but on on boards not PC.

I did play Doom once, but got killed off so often that it was pointless and pointless (zero points) , I also played a golf game on a plane once, after 200+ attempts at the first hole (it was a long flight) I gave up, so also pointless and pointless, also tried to figure out the Myst game, but despite a number of attemps I could not get past the first base so i gave up on that one one as well.

Are there any good computer games out there ?

Seems the last time you played was the 90s. Plenty has happened. Recommending games depends on what you like tbh. Sim city is a nice one. Roller coaster tycoon 3. Towards fps we have battlefield and cod. FIFA but it's impossible to play on PC with a mouse. There are loads. Total war series for real time strategy. What genre do you like?

I said earlier that I was a PC gamer but I'd be better described as a rubbish PC gamer.
Keep telling yourself that it's the taking part that is important.

Thanks. That's what I was saying to myself as I ruffled my son's hair and said "well played" when what I actually wanted to do was throw the xbox in the bath and jump up and down on the controller.

I've done that before with FIFA. Nothing with the xbox but I threw the controller across the room. 90min goal to win it, it wasn't even a good goal. The keeper just watched it go in.I was fuming. I only needed a draw. I sold that keeper right after the match

I wonder if in the Columbian version you can have him shot?

Cribbage, bit of rummy, tried bridge but memory isn't up to it. Played Frustration with the girls last night for the first time in ages - it was great! (Even tho' I did get stuffed three times in a row.)

At the moment just playing Galaxian, Scramble, Moon Cresta, Phoenix on Mame32 on the PC. Used to play a few 3rd person shooters games on the PC, Soldier Of Fortune Double Helix and Call Of Duty 2 were both great games. Got a PS3 and loved Call Of Duty 4 Modern Warfare 1, was all downhill after that with Call Of Duty games, just aimed at kids with loads of stupid kill streaks and crap maps. Certainly cannot see me ever wasting my money on the new consoles that are around the corner. Getting too old for gaming and the direction it is going in. Or maybe I should build a gaming PC, I can't imagine PC gaming attracted the same knobbers that a lot of console games do.

The last time I played a computer game, it was Baldur's Gate, which will tell you how long ago it was. I was a role-playing gamer as a teenager (the original paper and pencils type) but apart from Elite (again this dates me), I was never much for computer games. I found them all rather limited in terms of imagination (i.e. they do all the imagination for you, whereas I prefer(ed) to use my own).
