Sun Worksop 14 speed racer in about '79 which some dick stole in '88.

I bought a Dawes Kingpin, for £15.15.3d., in 1970 My uncle lent me the money and I paid him back fifteen bob a month from my job in a butchers shop.

I wanted a Raliegh Chopper, but he wouldn't lend me the money for that, the twunt.

Anyway I went everywhere on that Kingpin, like the one in my avatar. I bought a couple of them recently on eBay, and I am restoring one of them.

A 1959 Philips with 18" wheels. It was a proper miniature bike with rod brakes and one gear.

Bought and earned was a Muddy Fox courier circa 1986 when Muddy Fox was a well regarded brand.

I remember it costing £300 back in the day

First bike as a nipper IIRC was a Raleigh Budgie

I do remember having a Coventry Eagle that was way too big for me.

it was red, single speed, chrome handlebars and and a rack (the horror, the horror). A fifth birthday present. A really good looking bike.

First bought, 50 /50 with my dad, I paid back £? a week out of my paperboy money was a falcon , champion de monde, flashy looking shimano bits, made out of plastercine by their longevity goodness knows how many sets of cranks ('entry' level splined chain set) I got replaced under warranty, before i gave up and got a nice (I think) sugino chain set

Importantly - I was a lovely gold colour!

A Halfords own-brand BMX, back when BMX was a new thing (and still a kids' thing) in Britain. It was actually a pretty decent bike and I really loved it at the time.

My first proper bike was a red Raleigh Chopper, a Christmas pressie from mum and dad. My first I bought was a blue Raleigh Stratos that I eventually did LEJOG on!
