I'm off early for a ride (unless I sleep in again).

Bust up a couple of old pallets that I brought home from work, in preparation for making a raised vegetable bed for the garden out of the wood.

Start rehearsing my ukulele number for a guitar weekend I'm going to in February.

Might even get a chance to go for a short bike ride if I get all my chores done!

I've been resting a sciatica/back problem and it's now definitely hurting less. Tomorrow I'm going to see whether I can do a gentle 20 miler without pain and without painkillers. I'm quite nervous about it. Because if I can't get out on the bike for a bit, I've no idea what I'm going to do on Sunday.

Funnily enough that is exactly what I am doing tomorrow ..... all part of my project of two adults living sustainably on the veg grown in 9 sq/mtr: http://gowithgareth.wordpress.com/

Here are three reclaimed pallet timber planters that I made last year.

Stripping pallets is a very easy job for me because I make and sell these:

very little! Wife in bed with hangover from works outing, shall take dog out for a walk / pub lunch later, let legs recover from 3 hard days riding. Clean bike, tidy room turbo lives in. Longish club ride tomorrow so a sober evening.
