What will your weekend consist of?

Mine will be something like:
Saturday - up at half six & excavating daughter from pit (she's six going on sixteen) and take her and older brother to swimming lessons. Wifey will take them home via Sainsburys while I see if I can manage to scull 10K on the rowing lake (yes, pathetic I know, I haven't been able to get much rowing in this year and am very out of shape  ). Home and lunch, then renewing stakes holding log roll in place on front flowerbed, plus replacing rotted-to-mulch log roll at rear of same flowerbed. Switch off brain and sit through X-factor with wife and kids.

Sunday - allotment to lift rest of spuds & carrots and weed, roast dinner (yum!) might actually take it easy in the afternoon, take brainless dog (greyhound, fast but thick as a fencepost) for a run. Sunday tea, bed and some light reading ready for my First Aid at work re-qualification course Monday/Tuesday.

What will you be up to?

It's our housewarming party this weekend, so I would imagine I'll be frantically finishing the decorating in the lounge and tidying up early on, then cooking both a meat and a veggie chilli to feed 30 or so people. Then I'll have to nip out and buy a shedload of booze and nibbles, then (with any luck) I'll be able to sit down and watch the F1 qualifying. Then me, Ms RT and all the aforementioned people will be drinking until the small hours start to get big again. Sunday I plan to recover in front of the GP.

Friday, curry night then the 16 y.o daughter of a Nigerian customer is coming up on a boarding school exeat, so got to pick her up from the station and get her settled in. We are her UK guardians.

Saturday, the wedding of my late sister's husband who is marrying again, he deserves it after coping with her illness for over 20 miserable years.

Sunday, hope the girl doesn't want to go to mass - Groan! If I promise not to tell her Dad maybe she will have a lie-in and I can grab a few miles on the bike.

Saturday - probably a walk and picnic with the family and Mrs-LC's ma and pa. Then Sunday hoping to get in a family ride to a nice pub about 5 miles from home for lunch. Gotta make the best of the weather while it lasts ...

sunday ride? swim? run? gp? carpet fitting!

Friday: 'Early to bed - early to Battersea Rise'...
Saturday: Go 'Up West' and meet a few mates for a drink. We'll start knocking it back about 06:30 and just cruise through the day. Probably drink while we're on the road too - that sort of thing. We'll have probably peaked at about midday and it will be all downhill from there...Basically we are going looking for some 'Serious' action oop North. The Inter-City Firm is recycled for the 21st Century.
Sunday: Recovery posting, with photos, probably, of the carnage.

The Football Season: Ain't life grand!

...fat chance! Have you seen the heavies I'm travelling with?

I saw one from the rear yesterday - not a pretty sight - but honked all the way up a 10% climb:ohmy:
Apparently he couldn't find the gear lever on those butterfly bars of his!
