What will your weekend consist of?

Apart from the Morris Dancing and buggery (which surely goes without saying, these days, doesn't it?)...

I will be mainly finishing off the painting, re-varnishing some chairs and perhaps the floor of the front room, and sanding planks to make bookshelves. I will also try to get a couple of short, fast rides in in the early morning, as well as a more leisurely hour or two of canoeing later on Saturday. Some friends here are also having a open house potluck on Sunday afternoon, so we'll make some chirashi sushi to take round, and eat and chat and enjoy a few beers in the autumn sun whilst it lasts...

Afterwards I went into a lion cub enclosure where they keep the lion kittens who have been rejected by their mother, and hand-rear them.

Absolutely amazing to just sit on the ground surrounded by six of them, and be able to stroke them.

Sadly they were a bit too big to fit one into my backpack.
