There would be mass rioting,anarchy,race wars the lot! It would be worse than a nuclear war,if that's possible? Just look what happened when the National Health had a "computer virus" the other month. Shock horror!,they had to go back to using telephones and pens and paper!

I don't think you appreciate just how serious that was.

But the way some "pen pushers" were reacting,you'd think the world was coming to an end. On one hospital visit i heard one moaning that she hadn't used a pen and paper for years.. It just shows how reliant we've become on using keyboards to communicate.

Folk who like for some unknown reason putting pictures of what their eating on social media will have to take Polaroids of their dinner and go round chapping doors showing it off.

Depends on how long it went down for. I couldn't do my job for a start, but if (for example) every server and every length of internet infrastructure was fried, then we'd have to adapt. We'd have to get analogue phones instead of IP phones, make hideous amounts of calls each day, but I could still use my database as it's offline anyway. After watching quite a few post-apocalyptic TV shows, sometimes I wish this would happen. It would be unpleasant after a while, but in the short term may actually be quite liberating.

So, I could live without the internet at home, but for work it would reduce productivity by at least 80% for me.
