or have you seen the Defy 4 for sale in the classifieds section on here 2015 Giant Defy 4 medium that @Nitram55 is selling

Thanks for the offer martin. Will bear you in mind. Sadly that defy 4 is likely too small.

I'd take Sora over Claris, and I do like the Defy. Is there not a local Giant dealer who might be able to give you a price near to that of Rutland Cycles and let you sit on one & check the sizing ?

There is a giant dealer up the road so I might give that a go. I bet I get to sit on both and still be undecided! Sometimes you just have to jump in with two feet I suppose...

I think you are unlikely to go wrong with either - but if you get Claris you may have a nagging doubt about Sora.. 9 speed better than 8 ?

In my experience Claris is more rattly & basic. I have it on a Giant Revolt & on my son's £220 Carrera CX bike.
