There are certain messages that if you put on there would probably have you pulled over by the police and asked to remove or face being arrested for public order offences.

What about a freedom to speech :bicycle:

I'd probably just sell the words as advertising space :bicycle:

They'd be compelled to be nice to you.

It's like putting your hand up to say thanks to another motorist when you cut them up. You know you've cut them up, they know you've cut them up, but because you said thanks before you did it, they can't say anything to you.

From what I read, there are only three pre-programmed messages.

"I Love You", "Happy New Year" & "Welcome".

No wonder they are so cheap.

New Year was over two weeks ago, no-one is welcome at my house and I don't love anyone.

Pointless.

It is only if you use very rude words which could offend somebody. The OP was wondering if they could get away with putting rude words on it. There is a time and a place for obscenities, being visible on your wheels for all and sundry to see is definitely not one of them.
