Usual boring stuff; Amalfi Coast, Vesuvius, Pompei and then back to Pozzuoli Amphitheatre. I have my daughter visiting for the weekend, so will we do the tourist route. Sadly, I am working on Monday.

I'll be doing the MacRide at Silverstone. I've never done a time trial in my life so I don't really know how to pace myself but I'm going to try and do at least 40 miles in 2 hours on my singlespeed bike. My cadence will have to average 100 rpm which I think my big heavy legs might find somewhat difficult, but I'll give it a go!

I'm hoping that there will be some sort of segregation of the fun riders and the more serious ones so we can all do our own thing without bumping into each other. Perhaps fun riders on the left and faster riders on the right, or something like that.

It's a hard life indeed ;) , how do you cope! You missed out on some beautiful heavy rain in Edinburgh yesterday, just in case you wanted to know that.

Being well past its use-by date.
I recently found some 3 year old curry powder at the back of my cupboard and have been using that with no ill-effects. It's definitely lost some of its flavour, but I'm too skint to chuck it out.

I wouldn't recommend 10 year old mustard which has been opened though... My mate had some at the back of his cupboard. He had a BBQ for his 40th and I spread some of it on my veggie burgers - it didn't go down well!   xx(

Sounds nasty. Hope you didn't eat the whole burger and then realise the mustard was off.

It was a night-time BBQ so it was pretty dark in the garden and I couldn't really see what I was eating but I took one bite and thought WTF was that! I took the burger into the kitchen and saw the mustard was a very dark yellow, almost orange! I tackled my mate about it. Apparently he had cleared his grandmother's house out after she died, including everything in her kitchen. He didn't like mustard so he'd never touched it...
