The standard answer to any such remark in our house (like "I've got a quarter tank of diesel - reckon that's enough?" or "But I've only got a fiver, Dad") is "you'll get to Minehead on that!" so by that measure, it's good for at least 220 miles.

I'm assuming that the missing tops of the teeth all broke off at the same time because I can't imagine how you could ride the bike long enough to gradually wear them down to that state! :wacko:

Er, nope. It's been getting a bit clunky going up hills lately, so I ended up taking the wheel off for a proper look. (I had looked a couple of times previously, but I'm assuming that by pure chance it was the 'good' teeth that were showing.)

I wouldn't ride it like that, I'd be worried about the chain flying off.
