I wouldn't ride it like that, I'd be worried about the chain flying off.

Well I'm sure you'll be relieved to hear that I have retired it, with full honours. I have flipped the flip flop hub back to its predecessor, which I failed to remove when I replaced it, which is pretty worn but does at least have what you might call teeth all the way round.
