Dunno, Carnation for me!

I think Carnation only did evaporated, not condensed, but I could well be wrong. I think that "evaporative forcing" could be a major factor in Fudge Change. The fudge scientists probably have an accurate and lucrative model somewhere. It's fingerlicking good.

I think you're right, and IIRC, we only ever used Carnation evaporated milk on our tinned fruit ;)

I'm probably a model fudge scientist , I've ceratainly fudged a lot of work in my time!

As Mort mentioned I'm sure they brought this back - along with "Country Crunch" the checkered wrapper(little bits of crunchie in a chocolate bar). I think it could've been a limited edition though, damn.

That was Cadbury's 'Country Style' - choc with raisin and biscuit in a gingham wrapper. ;)

Shitkickingly good!

Yee-haa to that!

Hope Kraft don't take over Cadbury and ruin the chocolate with a disgusting sick flavoured Hershey style recipe.

You can keep your fancy foreign chocolate as far as I'm concerned - Dairy Milk is the pinnacle of yummy choc.

Just thought of another one....

Flying Saucers. A thin, rice paper (I think), hollow disc with sherbet inside. The paper melted in your mouth followed by the burst of sherbet flavour. Mmmmm!

Yip! Stand corrected, sorry. Yeh! Gingham.

Sure there was one with "crunchie bits" in though - anyone remember the name?

Cranky - you still get "flying saucers." Sherbert not quite the same though!!! Available from small retro sweet shop at the entrance of "Callander Square" Falkirk - and other shops too, probably.

They also do "Chelsea Whoppers"(I'm sure "threebikesmcginty" will correct me if I'm wrong ) they come in strips and are covered in cocoa powder.

Anyone remember the "fake" tobacco - it was made from strands of coconut, can't for the life of me remember the flavouring. Think the packet was like the Golden Virginia rectangle one, accept red in the middle with white ends with a ship like the "Old Jamaica" one????? Spanish Armada maybe?

They are still around and easily obtainable. My wife loves them and picks a bag up from Waitrose nearly every week. Not only that but our daughter's boy friend works at a cash and carry and he occasionally brings her a great big tub of them.

hedgehog crisps.

Quite nice actually - didn't contain any real hedgehogs though!:wahhey:(remember all the stories in the papers)

Any of our Scottish posters remember "luckie tatties" - potato shaped candy with a small plastic toy inside, covered in cinnamon dirt?
