A Cathedral is a shed to house freaks and oddballs.

But some are quite decoratively built.

And so with lugs: Function doesn't prohibit art.

But I was told once that the greater the length of the edge of the lug, the stronger the join - so that there is a reason to have it fancy, rather than just plain. At least, that's what I was told....

Gimme lugs anyday - especially if nicely lined.

Poor Joe, sitting in his strictly utilitarian house, nothing decorative around him, everything the same shade of grey, after all, what would be the point or colour or form?

Nothing is more utilitarian than a lug. Just because someone with a beard cut it into a fancy shape, it is still only a lug.

Anne Widdicombe is a lug. Put her in a mini-skirt and leather boots and she will still be lug, albeit one that will attract attention from men with strange tastes.

Give me a smooth weld anyday.
