Hmmmm - Whats annoyed me this week..?
Yesterday took my bubbas to London Zoo which was holding a 'Special Childrens Day'
#1....

I would recomend writing to the Zoo, stating your greivances, and explaining that you were disatisfied with their level of service. The food thing may be a consession - in which case they may pass the buck, but you may get something free from it....

I hope it didn't spoil you're day though.

ITV because they're a bunch of incompetent shoot stains. Really gutted that we have to put up with these muppets covering the Tour Of Britain when there's really nothing wrong with their commentary. Still, none of that is any good when you don't get to watch it because you have to rely on their ITV player, online.

Yes, what fun, either 'Not Available' or available but likely to freeze, crash, cut out, or more than likely not work at all. Funny how the adverts always work flawlessly until it comes to the bit I want to watch, that's right, the cycling bit and it bollocks up every single time like it did during the TDF.

Thanks ITV, I always knew you were crap and never watched the FA Cup on ITV as a kid because I knew you were bad even then. This just takes it to a new level of retardery and I wish Eurosport every luck in poaching your viewers.

Todays moan...
My eldest son decide to take a gap year, after being offered am amazing job opportunity. He started the job in August, I informed all the relevent places of this & today got a letter confirming that i will no longer receiev child benefit, child tax credit, housing/council tax allownaces for him, in fact it may seem they have overpaid me & I owe them money back!
Today at work I discover, that as i have no gone from 'casual' hourly paid employee to Full time, I will not get paid until end of Oct, and even them will only recieve 10 days wage, as our pay period falls halfway through the month.
This wouldn't be too much of a probelm, my eldest was aware that he would have to pay me the equivelant money I got as his benefits as 'rent & board'
Today at work I get a very upset son call me, he's just had his 6 week probabtionary interview & they've decide to terminate his contract as he's had several absences!
These were for him to attend the Shoreham Airshow, (he's a Sargeant in the ATC) and several other ATC events that had been planned months in advance, and had been discussed a his initial interview.
So now I have a son who gave up his Uni place, unemployed with no income, no finacial support, a shed load of bills to pay & his mother verging on a mental breakdown
Cheers Weatherspoons As employees you suck!

I've read this weekend that Tamara Ecclestone is sending an exploration party to the Amazonian jungle at a personal cost of £1m.

I was encouraged by this and read on hoping to learn that they would be searching for some important lost tribe, maybe a cure to cancer through intensive examination of yet undiscovered flora

...but no, they are off to find a pretty rock that she can have made into a bath for her £47m house

...that Daddy bought her

I'm all for people making money (even Bankers) but seriously...how is Ecclestone allowing his daughter to step into the public eye and actually say this shoot out loud

So sorry to hear of your strife Funny Mummy, what a nightmare. Is there any way your son can appeal as his absences were discussed at his job interview? Doesn't seem very fair to me, that. :hugs:

Not many moans here, except to complain about the Millwall fans who were herded onto the train i was booked on at Birmingham New Street yesterday. I had to stand in a crammed carriage to the end of my journey, which was only about an hour away, but at that point i'd been travelling for 17 hours including an overnight flight featuring someone's three year old who screamed at the top of their voice the whole time. I was very grumpy!!

Not sure at the mo - it all seems a rather grey/vague area.
He had the initial interview in Portsmouth & mentioned that he had prior commitments, but wasn't asked for specifics, they told him if he got through the first round interviews then they would deal with that later. He then got called back for 2nd interview & again mentioned these events, but they never asked exact dates.
Then he got the call saying he'd made the last stages & would need to attend a weekend induction at their head offives in Watford, his dad lives there so it was easy enough to arrange. He told the man there about what dates he wouldn't be able to work - they were noted down this time.
He then started the job here in Worthing, first day there he asked the manager if she knew of his ATC dates, she didn't - So he told her. She wasn't happy, but didn't tell him he couldn't have those dates off.
The following week a rota was put up, whcih had him down to work a shift that he couldn't, he told her he couldn't do it. This has happened three more times, she has rota'd him in to do shifts that he had already said he wouldn't be able to do.
Then he had an early start, he had laid his work clothes out ready & one of the kittens hacked a furball up on his whites. (he was on kitchen training that week) Obvioulsy he couldn't wear that jacket & although his other was washed was still on the airing rack, he threw it in the tumble dryer & was 15 mins late for work as a result. He then had another morning he was late - He had stayed at his girlfriends - in Hove, there was a probelm with the trains & he was 30 mins late.
He was on a 6 week 'probationary' period, today he has had the interview to discuss this, and she has told him he has been absent, or unable to work when required & has a poor attitude to time keeping, therefore she will not been extending his contract to permanent! He will be paid until the end of the week although not required to attend, this is after he just worked a solid weekend, open to close Fri to Sun 7am til 3am every day, so she could have the weekend off!

I know, how very very rude!
Even more so as the chap who carried out his interview in Watford, recognised Callums name & made a connection... He was trained by me almost 20yrs ago, when he first came to work for the brewery & when realised who Callum was told him, he if he was half the land(lady)lord his mother was he'd go far LOL!!
