I kept thinking that somewhere in the uk there is a warehouse full of barbecue coals and freezers of burgers and sausages never to be sold!

Can't remember the last time we had a nice August

September seems to be the best month in recent years, hoping it continues in that vain, as I'm on holiday for 2 weeks!!

Loads of probably retired folk on the local radio earlier (Norfolk) saying how hot and sunny September and October will be - so don't panic yet. Trouble is, it's dusk/ dark by about 6pm then- not much use when that's the time you get home from work .
May is normally OK, just dull rather than lashing it down all the time, and that's only about 9 months away so all is not lost!

I think the weather turned bad when the schools broke up. On that basis, I expect the weather will improve when they go back to school.

We're on holiday in Malta. Today went by (air-conditioned) public transport to Mdina. The temperature was 45 on chemists sign. Just read about people suffering from hypothermia in Wales. Where has the British summer gone?.
Purely out of curiosity, whereabouts? We're going there in 10 days time.
