Lidl are bringing their line of helmets again. The question is, what are the differences of the Lidl / Aldi helmets and the well known manufacturers such as Giro?
The first ever helmet I bought was a Giro. I remember spending a great deal of time trying helmets at the LBS..... in the end I got a Giro which was the best for fit, although I wasn't totally happy with it. About two years later I was in Aldi and I decided to try out one of their helmets..... I was so impressed with the fit that I bought it. The helmet fitted me perfectly something that I could not find two years previously, despite trying in excess of 15 helmets of well known manufacturers.
I don't see much differences in the construction of my cheapo Aldi helmet and my Giro..... having said that, I have always wondered whether the Giro helmet would protect me better in case of an accident - ( those who do not believe in helmets don't need to tell me their views on helmets
