I was supposed to be re plumbing some of my central heating tomorrow, then going to Donington on Sunday to watch the GT racing. However, manflu has struck and the weather forecast for Sunday is pants, so a quiet weekend in front of the box for me.

I'm still pretty much immobilised by illness, but my brother-in-law is coming up for a mini-break so at least I'll have company for a few days.

I'll be watching the Tour of Lombardy on Eurosport Player tomorrow.

I reckon I might spend a few minutes on CycleChat here and there, just for a change, like ...

I hope those of you who are getting rides in this weekend have fun, and don't encounter too much bad weather! :hello:

Off to London in a bit for a FNRttc.
Back in Leeds for Sat tea time.
Sunday might be a shed based day.
All in all a good weekend is forecast.

We have 22 miles left of our September Mileage challenge. We should have been well over but Hubby doesn't do rain, I don't like it but not quite as adverse to it as he is and decided to stay in and keep him company instead of getting wet.
Reckon that we will do most of it tomorrow leaving us a couple of miles to turn our legs after church on Sunday.

We will also be looking for a couple of cheap mountain bikes so we can do the Ruff Stuff event at Reepham, Norfolk at the end of October.

Helping to get the local 'cross course ready tomorrow- race is in a couple of weeks but there's some small trees and stuff to get rid of first, then filling some gaps under skirting boards, then sanding down and repainting same. Sunday I'll probably build a flatpack desk for Ms P.

Tonight some live music at a local cafe or staying in with the cat, haven't decided yet.

I've run 192 miles this month, with 2 days to go
My running days ended with a torn achilles in August 2000  I have only just come to terms with it. Thank God for the invention of road bikes.

It sounds like you do nice sensible mileage there. I once broke 250 running miles in a month as I had a marathon at either end, the following month was much less!

Working both Sat and Sun  but at least it will be night shifts for both days, so hopefully I will go for a run on Saturday morning and a ride on Sunday (with a stop for a coffee and cake ).. A couple of long walks with the dogs earlier in the morning (might catch a few good frames if lucky). Must do some gardening as well - weather allowing! (rainmaking ritual might be handy at that point..)

My wife and I are riding from Market Harborough to Northhampton on Saturday (weather forecast it brill) then I'm taking my cassette off on Sunday as my chain guard has come loose and its rattling. I have to pick up my HTC phone from the repairers and put it on Gumtree.

Sat work at 06.30 till 19.00hrs then home for one my wife's superb curries. Then collecting my wife's first bike on Sunday for her birthday, then carry on partying for the rest of the day with the family.
