What's with the fuel prices! And cheap whisky, apparently ...

The local Esso has put 25p a litre on diesel and about 15p on petrol. The Morrisons round the corner has done about 5p. Diesel is 20p a litre dearer at the Esso. I've just topped up at Morrisons at the lower rate - only £24. Just done a 130 mile round trip today, so hopefully not much more driving till the end of the month.

BP on Bradford Road near M62 Junction 27 has put 15p on a litre of diesel, I filled up at the Sainsbury's White Rose Centre, petrol was iirc £1.29

Does anyone else find themselves ALWAYS looking involuntarily at pump prices as they pass a petrol station ?
I know i do, always did.
Pre Iran it was 1.29 litre (E10 petrol)
A few days after it was 1.31 litre and thankfully sat at that.

Just been to Tesco

seems like Tesco have put their petrol up from 128.9 to 133.9
The Esso station has gone from 129.9 to 131.9

No really worth me getting any at the moment - I am well over 3/4 full - or the car is anyway!

but interesting that Tesco has gone up by more and that is where the queues were!

Saturday 7th

Filled up the Kodiaq on Tuesday (as my daughter would confirm, l top it up at circa the 3/4 full mark)
It was £1.42 diesel

I’ve just been walking the dog & came back up the ‘main’ road (was A655, before that was affixed to the bypass)
One garage (which was in the news a while ago) was £1.47 diesel

The Texaco, further down towards the M62 was £1.67 diesel
Been past those 2 again, & the Esso is still £1.47/diesel
The Texaco, has risen overnight to £1.69.9/diesel!!

So, if you're in the vicinity of jct 31/M62 & need fuel
Head towards 'Normanton Town Centre'
Pass straight by the Texaco (first you'd come to)
Esso is at the top, a mile from the jct, opposite The Black Swan' pub (& is 24hours)

club card points ?
132.9 seems the going rate for unleaded currently .

Esso in Dumfries was £134.9 for E10. Esso in Moffat was £139.9 for the same.

I don't usually even know the price as I don't use much fuel. I am keeping an eye out not to get ripped off by Esso now.
