What's with the strange thread titles in cafe section?

I’ve blocked the offenders as I found the thread titles extremely annoying.

I didn't know you could do that, I will start to do so.

That's a pretty big assumption. Like I said, mildly annoying, nothing more. The day any forum becomes more than that is the day I stop visiting it.

Maybe not your good self but those have to block the thread because it’s slightly irritating.🤷🏼‍♂️

Personally I would have thought it better etiquette for new members to fit in with the forum and post daily nonsense in the appropriate existing threads (Retirement, or even Tea - if that still exists) rather than starting a new thread EVERY DAY, with its associated strange titles and repetitive content. However it has been approved by admin, so that's that. I can't help thinking that admin might have reacted differently if one of the previous regulars started posting nonsensical thread titles on a daily basis. It doesn't do much to encourage long standing members to look in on the site, IMHO.. Mildly annoying rather than flounce inducing though.

Admin did not need to approve any of those threads because the members starting them were already out of the approval period.
Admin was also slightly miffed by the daily threads and kindly asked the Bike Radar refugees to maybe join an established thread in cafe, like mundane news or the retirement thread, already set up for daily chit chat.
Admin got back a flat refusal
Admin then gave up, even started one of those daily threads, along with some other long standing members, but we soon got bored.
Admin doesn't read those threads unless posts get reported for some issue, which never happens.
Admin couldn't be bothered less about them, but from time to time a thread like this pops up asking why all the pineapples.
Well, you have (again) got the answer, so (once again) thread locked.
Forgot: this particular admin doesn't like pineapple, especially on pizza (sacrilege!)
